Claire and Mark McDonald’s wedding
Claire and Marc’s ceremony was about fun, from start to finish and spending time with their favourite family and friends.
And that’s exactly what they did.
Memories are what connect us to our past,
They’re what keep us grounded as we look towards the future.
They remind us of where we’ve been and they guide us as we move forward together.
Families
Our families provide a setting for much of the growth that we experience in life.
In our families we love, serve, teach, and learn from one other.
We share our joys and our sorrows.
Family ties sometimes bring us difficult challenges, but they also give us strength
Date & Venue
The Marcliffe Hotel was the perfect location for Claire and Marc’s ceremony.
It was decorated for Christmas as well which made it that bit more special.
The event organisers were brilliant, and everything flowed just like it should on a wedding day.
THE COUPLE
Claire and Marc were a lovely couple meant to be together forever.
They met at school, but only in the passing, it wasn’t till much later that they met and fell in love.
They were funny and great to work with, a celebrants dream couple.
wedding party
The wedding guests were lovely, all beautifully dressed for a Christmas wedding and ready for a wedding which was a lot of fun, for them as well as the couple.
They took part in the crowd vows that Marc and Claire had prepared and joined in with the laughter throughout the ceremony.
ceremony
A wedding ceremony for Marc and Claire was about the legal stuff yes, but it was also about having fun, as that’s what they are like.
And that’s what we had, lots of fun creating the ceremony and delivering it on the day. Everyone enjoyed it as much as them.
Their Story
first date
Claire and Marc’s first date was in the Soul Bar in April 2016.
Claire was pretty chilled on the first date, where they clicked instantly; she couldn’t stop smiling
She knew they were gonna have an amazing future together.
proposal
Marc proposed to Claire on Christmas Eve 2021
Marc handed her a Christmas card, which she thought was a bit odd as that wasn’t normal practice for them at Christmas.
Upon opening the card, she read To My Fiancé, and that’s how they got engaged.
the family
Marc and Claire have a beautiful family who are supportive of them both.
But their fur baby Teddy is their four-legged baby and means the world to them.
If you check out the photos, you’ll see how Teddy attended the wedding, a cracking idea.
We really enjoyed having Mary officiate our ceremony.
From the first meeting, we felt totally comfortable telling our story of how we met and what we wanted for the ceremony.
It was clear Mary was incredibly thoughtful and put so much effort into preparing the script.
On the day she put us both at ease and was on hand to help coordinate the ceremony with invitees and our singer.
Would highly recommended Mary to anyone in the future.
