Raemoir House  – Aberdeenshire Wedding Venue

A venue full of history and romance.

September 2024 saw me deliver a wedding ceremony at Raemoir House for Rebekah and Dale, a venue that’s been around for a long time and was famous as a retreat for entertainment stars in its day.

Raemoir is an all inclusive private wedding venue where you and your guests can stay as a party.

Are you just starting out planning your wedding and looking for the right venue?

We’ll let me take you to a venue that’s perfect for weddings – Raemoir House tucked away on the outskirts of Aberdeen.

Raemoir House is 2 minutes from Banchory and only about 16 miles from Aberdeen. The hotel is situated in some cracking scenery.

A venue with options where you can choose to have an indoor ceremony or an outdoor one.

And that’s a good choice to have in Aberdeen as you never know what the weathers going to do.

So let me tell you a bit more about having a wedding at Raemoir House.

A truly authentic Scottish hideaway

Out door ceremony

With Raemoir House you have 2 options for your ceremony.

Infact there’s a few options but you can go indoors or out, depending on the weather that is.

The Woodland Cathedral is like a little slice of magic tucked away next to the house, hidden amongst gorgeous, mature trees.

It’s the perfect rustic spot for those warmer months – nature’s best-kept secret, right in plain sight

If Forests aren’t your thing, but you still want your ceremony outdoors, then the lawn is another option.

There is a stunning set of circular steps to come down onto the lawn, a fantastic spot for your wedding photos

In door ceremonies

And if you’re not a lover of outdoor ceremonies or the weather is awful, which happens a lot, then you have the option to have your ceremony indoors, and there are 3 options to choose from for indoor ceremonies.

First up is the Oval Ballroom, a room with curved walls, wooden doors, and a massive open fireplace, perfect for them winter weddings.

The Oval room can hold up to 24 dining on a single grand table, 40 for more informal dining,
70 can be seated for a ceremony and a dance.

But there’s also a place for smaller weddings: the Garden Room, which can hold 12 people for intimate dining and 20 for a small ceremony.

But if you’re having something larger than what any of the above can hold, then the Marquee is what you need.

However, the Marquee is seasonal and only available for weddings from July to September every year.

The Marquee can be used for a variety of different-sized weddings, from 200 for a dinner dance to 360 for a wedding ceremony. It can also be made smaller or larger for up to 360 guests.

Sleepovers

Raemoir House can sleep up to 32 people onsite, but they have been known to work some magic at times and squeeze a couple more people in if your wedding party is slightly larger than that – but only slightly mind.

All the suites and bedrooms have been individually designed, combining history with all the mod cons.

Your fur babies

We always want our favourite family and friends at weddings, and your fur baby is part of the family, so you’ll be delighted to hear that Raemoir House is a dog-friendly wedding venue.
